Wizz Air Adds Burgas and Comiso Routes from Poland

Wizz Air has announced two new summer routes from Poland, expanding its regional network with direct connections to Bulgaria and Italy.

The airline will launch a twice-weekly service from Warsaw–Radom Airport to Burgas on 21 July 2026, alongside a new twice-weekly route from Katowice Airport to Comiso starting 8 July 2026. Tickets are already available via the airline’s website and mobile app, with one-way fares beginning at PLN 89.

Strengthening Poland’s regional connectivity

The Burgas route further builds Wizz Air’s presence at Warsaw–Radom, enhancing travel options for passengers in the Mazovia region. The addition positions the airport as a growing alternative for leisure-focused routes, particularly to summer destinations along the Black Sea.

Meanwhile, the Katowice–Comiso connection reinforces the carrier’s network in southern Poland. The new service offers travelers from the Silesian region direct access to southeastern Sicily, eliminating the need for connections via larger hubs.

Burgas and the Black Sea coast

Burgas is one of Bulgaria’s leading seaside destinations and serves as a key gateway to the country’s Black Sea coastline. Known for its sandy beaches and relaxed atmosphere, it provides access to popular resorts such as Sunny Beach and the historic town of Nessebar. The region is also valued for its affordability, family-friendly appeal and vibrant local cuisine.

Comiso and access to Val di Noto

Comiso, located in southeastern Sicily, offers a more intimate and authentic entry point to the island. From Comiso Airport, visitors can easily reach the UNESCO-listed Val di Noto and towns such as Ragusa, Modica and Noto, as well as Sicily’s Mediterranean coastline.

By adding Burgas and Comiso to its map, Wizz Air continues to invest in Poland’s regional airports while expanding its leisure portfolio across Europe. The move underscores the airline’s strategy of pairing secondary departure points with high-demand summer destinations, maintaining its focus on low fares and point-to-point connectivity.
