TULIP Hotels & Residences, part of Louvre Hotels Group, has opened its first aparthotel in Ukraine, located in Lviv – a city where the atmosphere is something you feel in the rhythm of the streets, the glow of old windows, and the quiet pull of café life.
The new Tulip Residences Lviv is located at 24a Panasa Myrnoho Street, within the Kristal Plaza business complex. The property offers 73 apartments equipped with kitchenettes, positioning it firmly in the aparthotel category, where long-stay comfort matters just as much as design.
But what makes the project notable is not only the brand’s debut in the country – it is the way the interiors translate Lviv’s distinctive emotional tone into a modern hospitality setting.
Designed by the architects of Tremend, the project included the comprehensive redevelopment and modernization of the existing building, as well as the interior design of the three-star hotel. Over the years, Tremend’s hospitality portfolio has grown across Europe, giving the studio the ability to align global brand standards with local identity – and to deliver a coherent, lifestyle-driven concept that feels effortless rather than formulaic.
Comfort as the main luxury
In today’s travel landscape, the boundaries between home and hotel continue to blur. Guests want spaces that support everyday rituals – a calm breakfast, a place to work without disruption, a lounge that feels lived-in rather than staged.
At Tulip Residences Lviv, this idea becomes the guiding principle. The property includes a TULIP Café, a fully equipped business area with meeting rooms, a gym, underground parking, and a rooftop terrace. Breakfast is also served at Skver Café on the ground floor, adding another layer of Lviv’s café culture into the guest experience.
Rather than pushing guests through a single “lobby moment,” the interiors create a sequence of zones – designed for arrival, pause, work, and unhurried conversation.
A homely atmosphere shaped by materials, greenery, and light
Tremend was commissioned to develop the functional layout concept and the interior design of the property, including guest rooms and public areas: the lobby, food and beverage spaces, and the conference room.
This allowed the designers to build a cohesive authorial vision, where the atmosphere is not limited to one feature space but can be felt throughout the hotel.
The concept draws on warm materials, soft upholstery, solid wood, and abundant greenery, introducing an element of nature aligned with biophilic design principles. In the lobby, intimate furniture arrangements – including shelving filled with plants and books – combined with atmospheric lighting create the impression of a cozy living room that invites guests to linger.
It is the kind of environment where the city’s dynamic energy meets effortless calm.
A tribute to Lviv’s café culture
The vibrant social heart of Tulip Residences Lviv is the restaurant and bar area, designed as a tribute to the artistic spirit of Lviv’s café tradition.
The space encourages interaction, the exchange of ideas, and spontaneous meetings. It is not simply a food-and-beverage zone – it is a setting for the kind of slow conversation that defines Lviv’s most beloved places, where time seems to stretch and soften.
Founded in 2010, Tremend is an architectural studio with extensive experience in the hospitality sector, delivering projects across Europe for leading global brands such as Accor, Marriott, Hilton, Radisson Group, Louvre Hotels, IHG, Vienna House, and Meininger.
