One of the most popular international rail connections between Ukraine and Moldova is set to become a daily service as demand for cross-border travel continues to grow during the summer holiday season.
Train No. 351/352 “Bessarabia”, which connects Kyiv and Chisinau, will begin operating every day instead of every other day, increasing capacity and offering travelers greater flexibility when planning international journeys.
The expanded schedule will take effect from 28 June 2026 for departures from the Ukrainian capital.
Daily Service Introduced For Summer Travel
The move to daily operations is expected to significantly increase the number of seats available during the peak summer travel period.
The route has become one of the most important international rail links for passengers travelling between Ukraine and Moldova, as well as those using Chisinau as a gateway to onward destinations.
Daily departures will make travel planning easier and provide more flexibility for both leisure and business travelers.
New Departure Time From Chisinau
Starting from 29 June, the timetable for the return journey from :contentReference[oaicite:0]{index=0} will also change.
The train will depart Chisinau’s main railway station at 19:52 instead of the previous departure time of 17:42.
The revised schedule was introduced following passenger feedback and is intended to improve connections with flights arriving at Chisinau International Airport and other forms of transport.
The later departure allows travelers more time to complete transfers without rushing between connections.
New Children’s Carriage Added
The first daily departure will also introduce a newly designed children’s carriage aimed at families travelling with young passengers.
The specialised carriage has been developed to provide a safer, more interactive and comfortable travel experience for children on longer journeys.
The addition reflects growing demand for family-focused travel facilities on international rail services.
Tickets Already On Sale
Tickets for the expanded daily service are now available through the official Ukrainian Railways booking channels.
Passengers can purchase tickets via the mobile application, the carrier’s website or at international railway ticket offices.
The introduction of daily operations and enhanced onboard facilities is expected to further strengthen the Kyiv–Chisinau route as one of the region’s most important international rail connections during the busy summer season.
