Ukrzaliznytsia Launches New Regional Trains to the Carpathians This October

Easy Access to the Carpathian Mountains

Starting in October, travelling to the Carpathian Mountains will become easier than ever for Ukrainians. Ukrzaliznytsia, the national railway carrier, is launching a series of new regional routes connecting Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kolomyia, and Vorokhta — one of the most scenic destinations in western Ukraine.

The new trains are designed to offer convenient connections for autumn travellers heading to the mountains to enjoy the vibrant colours of the season.

Schedule of New Regional Routes

Passengers can take advantage of the following services:

▪️ Train No. 807/808 Lviv — Vorokhta will run on 17 and 19 October, departing at 08:02 and arriving at 13:02.

▪️ Train No. 810 Lviv — Ivano-Frankivsk will operate on 18 October, from 07:28 to 10:03.

▪️ Train No. 812/811 Ivano-Frankivsk — Vorokhta is scheduled for 18 October, departing at 11:18 and arriving at 13:02.

▪️ Train No. 852/851 Vorokhta — Kolomyia will run on 19 October, from 14:37 to 17:14.

In addition, the modern DPKr-3 train will also operate route No. 819/820 Kolomyia — Lviv on 16 October, departing at 16:07 and arriving at 19:56.

The new connections are part of Ukrzaliznytsia’s continued effort to improve regional mobility and support domestic tourism. The routes are served by the DPKr-3 train model, known for its comfort, reliability, and panoramic windows that offer stunning views of western Ukraine’s mountain landscapes.

Vorokhta, located in the heart of the Carpathians, is one of the most popular mountain resorts for autumn and winter tourism, offering hiking, fresh mountain air, and easy access to ski destinations like Bukovel.
