The Passenger Traffic of Kharkiv International Airport Reached 100 thousand

The passenger traffic of Kharkiv International Airport in July 2018 was 104.5 thousand passengers, which is 20% more than in the same period in 2017. Then the passenger flow was 87.2 thousand people. International and domestic passenger flows have increased proportionally.

The number of international flights and departures/arrivals also continues to grow. In July, the number of departures from the airport in comparison with July 2017 increased by 17% and amounted to 357. The number of domestic flights decreased from 139 to 129, but were more people flying.

Among regular destinations the most popular are Istanbul (Turkish Airlines, Pegasus), Kyiv (UIA), Warsaw (LOT), Tel Aviv (UIA), Dortmund (Wizz Air), Batumi (Yanair, Myway Airlines), Katowice (Wizz Air), Minsk (Belavia), Milan (UIA), Tbilisi (Myway Airlines).

For seven months of the current year, 545,300 people used the services of Kharkiv International Airport, which is 21% more than in the same period in 2017. The growth of passenger traffic is related, in particular, to the opening of new destinations — flights to Dortmund, Milan, Tbilisi, Barcelona, Batumi, Rimini, Katowice. International flights open swiftly, which has a positive effect on statistics. If domestic passenger traffic grew by 16% in 7 months, international traffic grew by 22%.

The increase in the number of flights and the total passenger traffic we expect in the next months. New directions continue to open at the airport. So, on July 31 the sale of tickets for new flights from Wizz Air KharkivLondon has begun. Direct flights to the capital of Great Britain start from November 13, 2018. Also in November, are opening flights to Vienna.

 

For seven months of 2018 passenger traffic reached 545.3 thousand, which is 21% more than in the same period in 2017.
