SkyUp Airlines has expanded its social initiatives by deepening its collaboration with the Happy Paw Foundation, encouraging Ukrainians to adopt shelter animals through a unique reward — lifetime free flights for their adopted pets. The initiative aims to help shelter animals find new homes while promoting a more compassionate travel culture.
How It Works
Getting the Certificate
When adopting a pet from one of Happy Paw’s partner shelters (listed on the foundation’s website), new owners receive an informational leaflet with a link to an online form. By filling it out, they initiate the process to claim their free-flight benefit for their pet.
Verification Process
After submission, SkyUp Airlines™ and Happy Paw verify the information. Within seven days, adopters receive an email with a certificate and unique number confirming their pet’s eligibility for free air travel. This certificate must be presented when booking future flights.
Booking a Trip
To redeem the benefit, adopters book their tickets at skyup.aero and send their booking number along with the pet’s certificate to [email protected]
. The SkyUp™ team verifies the certificate and adds the pet to the booking at no additional cost.
Voices Behind the Initiative
“For SkyUp Airlines™, social initiatives are a way to make air travel culture more humane,” said Olga Razumova, Head of Collaborations & Special Projects at SkyUp Airlines™. “Pets are true family members who bring warmth and emotional support, especially in difficult times. We want our passengers to enjoy the freedom and comfort of traveling together with them.”
Anastasiia Aboliesheva, Head of PR & Communications at Happy Paw, added:
“Right now, one of the biggest challenges for shelters is the rising number of abandoned pets whose owners can’t take them when relocating or evacuating. We hope this partnership helps animals become more mobile and gives new pet parents the confidence to adopt.”
This initiative continues SkyUp’s ongoing commitment to meaningful partnerships and community projects, blending compassion with convenience for animal lovers across Ukraine.
