Lviv Region Unveils Guidebook Highlighting 25 Key Tourist Destinations for 2026

At the end of 2025, authorities in western Ukraine presented a new tourism guide dedicated to the Lviv region, featuring 25 of the area’s most important destinations that travelers are encouraged to explore when planning trips across Ukraine in 2026.

According to the press service of the Lviv Regional Council, the guide’s content was authored by Ghandzunia Hoshko, head of development at the Franko House and a well-known local guide, while photography was provided by Ukrainian photo artist Ruslan Lytvyn.

“Lviv region is unique because every stone, every tree in the Carpathians, and every architectural monument has its own story,” said Yaroslav Hasiak, acting head of administration of the Lviv Regional Council. He noted that thanks to the work of dedicated enthusiasts brought together by the профиль department, the region now has a guidebook that actively promotes its most remarkable places.

Roman Khimiak, director of the regional department for sport, youth, and tourism, added that selecting only 25 locations was a significant challenge. Accessibility for people with limited mobility and recognisability beyond the region itself were among the key criteria used in the final selection.
