Low-cost carrier Wizz Air is making a strong comeback to Warsaw-Modlin Airport (WMI) by launching its sixth operational base in Poland. Starting in December 2025, the airline will station two Airbus A321neo aircraft at Modlin and open 11 new direct routes to key European cities — further expanding travel options for Polish and regional passengers.
The flight lineup from Warsaw-Modlin will include:
Italy: Alghero, Bergamo, Brindisi, Palermo
Greece: Athens
Spain: Barcelona
Norway: Bergen
Moldova: Chișinău
Malta: Luqa
Cyprus: Paphos
Bulgaria: Sofia
Particularly noteworthy for Ukrainian travelers is the new direct flight to Chișinău, offering another efficient connection between Eastern Europe’s major transit points.
The airline expects the Modlin base to serve over 500,000 passengers annually, contributing to regional mobility, tourism, and economic growth. The addition of the Airbus A321neo — known for its fuel efficiency and lower emissions — underlines Wizz Air’s commitment to sustainable operations as it expands its footprint in Poland.
Ticket sales are already open, with fares starting from just €10 one way, available through the Wizz Air website and mobile app.
Wizz Air’s return to Modlin not only reaffirms the airport’s strategic importance but also enhances travel flexibility for budget-conscious flyers looking for direct, affordable connections across Southern and Eastern Europe this winter season.
