Tuesday, July 12, 2016, Ukraine International Airlines operated the first flight between Kiev and Chernivtsi, thus extending its domestic network to nine destinations within Ukraine.

The flights from/to Chernivtsi are scheduled to suit business passengers arriving to Kiev and to offer all UIA clients convenient connections with UIA services to the cities of Ukraine, as well as capitals and key cities of Europe, Asia, the US, and the CIS countries.
“We keep developing domestic services, – noted Evgeniya Satska, UIA Corporate Press Secretary. – Currently, given technical restrictions of Chernivtsi airport, UIA operates flights on the partner airline`s aircraft. We hope that regional authorities will find funds to modernize the airport. The latter will allow Chernivtsi to accommodate Boeing aircraft and will let UIA offering wide selection of travel opportunities to its passengers”.
The Kiev – Chernivtsi – Kiev flights will be operated throughout the year.
Looking forward, UIA plans to increase flight frequency and offer passengers an advantage of double-daily services between Kiev and Chernivtsi. The carrier also considers a possibility to launch non-stop international scheduled flights from Chernivtsi.
