Tourism Innovation Summit 2025: Reinventing Travel in the Digital Era

Tourism has entered a new era of transformation, as travelers increasingly plan and book their trips online. This shift has driven travel agencies, tour operators, and online platforms to reinvent themselves, adapting to a digital environment that demands agility, innovation, and personalized experiences. The upcoming edition of TIS – Tourism Innovation Summit, taking place from October 22 to 24 in Seville, will analyze how the sector is meeting these challenges and shaping the new future of travel.

The leading event for tourism innovation will bring together top executives from Trip.com, Destinia, Pangea, Lastminute, Exoticca, WeRoad, TravelPerk, and Intrepid Travel, among others. Over three days, they will explore strategies and tools to help businesses remain competitive in an increasingly dynamic and technology-driven global market.

During the Tourism Innovation Global Summit, travel agencies, OTAs, and tour operators will have access to a dedicated agenda focused on how digital behavior is reshaping the traveler journey. Nithya Ramesh, Regional Director for Product and Marketing in Europe at Trip.com, and Anastasia Lizanets, Founder and CEO of Skibookers, will share insights into how leading platforms are using generative AI, search engine innovation, and behavioral analytics to design smarter, more intuitive travel experiences.

While travelers benefit from seamless bookings and real-time offers, a new generation of platforms is quietly transforming the infrastructure that powers global tourism. Davide Amaro, Regional Director for Southern Europe at Emerging Travel Group; Marc Armengol, Vice President of International Business Development at Hyperguest; and Anna Grigoryan, General Manager of Mobility and Experiences at Hotelbeds, will discuss how B2B accommodation distribution, API connectivity, and inventory optimization are driving a more agile and scalable industry.

Industry leaders such as David Hernández, Founder and CEO at Pangea; Mónica Emilio Prieto, Chief Operating Officer at Destinia; and Carlos López, Managing Director at Avasa, will analyze how travel businesses are adapting their models to new digital realities. Through case studies and practical lessons, they will address evolving sales strategies, customer relations, and profitability while maintaining personalization and human connection in an increasingly automated world.

At the same time, travel brands are reimagining how they attract and retain customers. Subscription models, loyalty ecosystems, and predictive commerce are emerging as powerful tools to drive growth and engagement. Carla Tarrés, CEO and Co-Founder at Hanaley; Susana Miranda, Director of Loyalty & CRM at Braintrust; and Francisco Costa, CEO at Odisseias, will examine how these approaches are scaling, the challenges they face, and how data-driven personalization can make them both profitable and sustainable.

This transformation is also opening the door to new players outside the traditional tourism ecosystem. From sports retailers and e-commerce platforms to lifestyle and loyalty brands, companies like Decathlon Travel, Showroomprive, and Digitrips are entering the travel space with fresh perspectives and innovative business models. Damien Corchia, Head of Operations at Decathlon Travel; Nicolás Gerbal, Director of Travel & Leisure at Showroomprive; and Vicky Wickens, Vice President of International Growth at Digitrips, will share how these new entrants are designing unique experiences, building emotional connections, and collaborating with established operators.

Looking ahead, the summit will emphasize that digitization is more than a trend – it is a catalyst for competitiveness. Pere Vallès, CEO at Exoticca; Andrea D’Amico, CEO at WeRoad; and Alessandro Petazzi, CEO at Lastminute, will explore how their companies are scaling innovation amid uncertainty, leveraging technology as both a tool and a mindset.

Yet innovation also depends on people. Felicia Williams, Vice President of People at TravelPerk; Carlos Bello, Director of Innovation at ILUNION Hotels; and Juan Diego Salinas, Founder and Director at Metahotel, will highlight how leadership and team structures are evolving to support creativity, agility, and continuous adaptation.

Sustainability and purpose will also take center stage. Florence Allo, Regional General Manager West Europe at Intrepid Travel; Mayte Redondo, Founder of Travel 2 Care People and Planet; and Corinne Louison, Co-Founder and COO at Fairmoove, will discuss how companies can balance growth with responsibility by fostering authentic storytelling, engaging communities, and building transparent, mission-driven brands.

As the tourism industry continues its digital reinvention, TIS 2025 in Seville will serve as a global meeting point for those shaping the next chapter of travel – where technology, innovation, and human values converge to define the future of the sector.
