SkyUp Nistru has received an updated Air Operator Certificate (AOC), marking the completion of its rebranding and a key step in expanding operations under the SkyUp umbrella.
The certification reinforces the operational platform for the airline’s development in Moldova and deepens cooperation with SkyUp Airlines, as the group continues to scale its presence in the region.
SkyUp and SkyUp Nistru have been working together in the Moldovan market for nearly a year, supporting both scheduled and charter services from Chisinau. The partnership has expanded route options for passengers while aligning operations under a unified brand and service model.
“Receiving the updated AOC is an important milestone for SkyUp Nistru and for the further development of SkyUp’s presence in Moldova,” said Dmytro Sieroukhov, генеральный директор SkyUp Airlines. “This step gives us a stronger foundation to continue developing operations from Moldova, expanding travel opportunities for customers and building the brand in the region.”
The rebranding is expected to provide passengers with a more consistent travel experience, as flights across multiple operators are increasingly aligned under the SkyUp identity.
SkyUp Nistru operates in accordance with international safety and compliance standards and holds approvals to conduct commercial flights to the European Union and the United Kingdom, as well as foreign operator authorisation in Canada for certain operations.
The broader SkyUp network currently includes multiple operating entities:
SkyUp Airlines LLC (IATA: PQ), based in Ukraine
SkyUp MT Limited (IATA: U5), registered in Malta
SkyUp Nistru (IATA: 4V), based in Moldova
The development reflects a wider strategy to diversify operational bases across different jurisdictions, allowing the airline group to maintain flexibility while expanding its footprint in Europe and beyond.
