The Odesa railway station has taken another step towards becoming a more modern and passenger-friendly travel hub with the opening of a new café by the popular Ukrainian chain Lviv Croissants.
The new outlet has opened on the station’s first platform, reinforcing the broader effort to develop railway stations as comfortable, service-oriented spaces for travellers. Railway officials say expanding business partnerships at stations is primarily about improving convenience and care for people on the move, particularly in challenging times.
The café is designed to serve passengers efficiently, with seating for 32 guests and a self-service kiosk that allows for quick, contactless ordering. The menu has been adapted specifically for the railway-station format, catering to travellers who may be short on time before departure or during transfers.
Accessibility was a key consideration in the project. The space is fully inclusive, equipped with a ramp and designed to accommodate passengers with reduced mobility. Renovation and fit-out works were carried out in close cooperation with station management and in compliance with railway infrastructure requirements.
A symbolic highlight of the menu is the “Iron Croissant,” a signature item that was previously available only at the Kyiv-Pasazhyrskyi railway station. The Odesa location also offers a permanent 50% discount for military personnel.
Lviv Croissants at Odesa railway station operates daily from 7:00am to 10:00pm, allowing passengers to grab a bite before their journey, while waiting for a train or during a transfer, as the station continues its transformation into a multifunctional public space.
