Czech rail operator Leo Express has announced a new trans-European direct rail service connecting Poland’s eastern border with the Czech Republic and Germany, offering a seamless journey to one of Europe’s largest aviation hubs.
The new Przemyśl – Prague – Frankfurt route is set to become one of the most convenient rail connections for travellers heading to Germany without transfers, particularly for passengers arriving from Ukraine via Poland.
Key dates and ticket prices
The inaugural service is scheduled to depart on 25 June 2026. Tickets are already available for booking on the operator’s official website.
Introductory fares start from €10 one way, including journeys such as Przemyśl to Dresden or Frankfurt, making the route one of the most competitively priced long-distance rail options in the region.
The train will operate daily and offer standard onboard amenities, including Wi-Fi, air conditioning, power sockets and restrooms, ensuring a comfortable journey across multiple countries.
Designed for airport connectivity
One of the most notable features of the new service is its timetable. The train is scheduled to arrive at Frankfurt Airport before 08:00, allowing passengers to connect easily with early-morning long-haul and European flights.
This makes the route particularly attractive for travellers seeking a rail alternative to flying into Germany or for those planning onward international journeys from Frankfurt.
At launch, tickets will be sold without assigned seating. From January 2026, Leo Express plans to introduce seat selection, including reservations in business class, further enhancing comfort and flexibility for longer journeys.
With this expansion, Leo Express strengthens its position in international rail travel, offering a practical and affordable link between Eastern Europe, Central Europe and one of the continent’s most important transport hubs.
