FlixBus has expanded its European network with two new international routes linking Ukraine to Austria and Poland, the company told Village. The additions strengthen cross-border mobility at a time of rising demand for affordable long-distance travel.
The new service from Kyiv to Salzburg connects the Ukrainian capital with major Central European hubs. The full route includes Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Rivne, Lviv, Mukachevo, Uzhhorod, Budapest Airport, Budapest, Bratislava, Vienna, Linz, and Salzburg. Buses will depart Kyiv’s Central Bus Station at 15:10 and arrive in Salzburg at 19:45 the following day. Return trips will operate on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays, leaving Salzburg at 08:30 and arriving in Kyiv at 15:05.
FlixBus has also launched a route from Vinnytsia to Wroclaw with stops in Khmelnytskyi, Ternopil, Lviv, Tarnów, Kraków, Katowice, and Opole. Departures from Vinnytsia will run on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. The bus will leave the city’s Central Bus Station at 10:00 and reach Wroclaw at 06:20 the next day. Return journeys from Wroclaw will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, departing at 17:35 and arriving in Vinnytsia at 13:35.
FlixBus now operates 30 direct routes between Ukraine and eight European countries, including 11 connections that serve airports. The expansion reflects the increasing importance of long-distance bus travel in facilitating mobility between Ukraine and the European Union.
