Dnipro has just unveiled a new tourist highlight — panoramic sightseeing trams, officially presented on September 13 to mark City Day. The first route comes with a symbolic name, “Dnipro Broadway,” and is ready to showcase the city’s history and landmarks to both locals and visitors.
The two sleek tram cars arrived from Leipzig, Germany, and were specially refitted for sightseeing comfort. Inside, passengers will find cozy seats with tables, an audio system for guided tours, screens for visual content, and air conditioning. On the outside, the design stands out with a bold pomegranate-red color, a white wave motif, and portraits of famous people from Dnipro.
The route partly follows the city’s tram line No. 1, covering the main attractions in the city center. Travelers will pass the University of Science and Technology, Nagorny Market, the Transfiguration Cathedral, and finish on Centralna Street.
For now, the trams are running in a presentation mode, but in the near future tickets will be available for booking online through one of the city’s museums.
