Japan, UAE liberalizes visa regime with Ukraine

A visa-free regime between Ukraine and the United Arab Emirates officially began to work on December 31. Citizens of Ukraine will need a biometric passport valid for at least six months to enter the UAE. Ukrainians can enter, leave, fly through and stay at the territory of the UAE up to 30 days.

Japan on January 1, 2018, simplified visa requirements for a short-term stay of Ukrainian citizens. The range of applicants eligible for multiple-entry visas for short-term business, cultural and scientific appointments will be expanded. The validity period of the visas will be extended from 3 years to 5 years maximum. The multiple entry visas (with a validity period of 3 years and a maximum stay of 30 days) for short-term stays with different purposes, including tourism will be introduced in addition to existing single entry visas.

Travellers using their own financial support will not be required to provide documents from the guarantor.
