The new video of the wreck of the Titanic was shot in full 8K quality, the highest resolution currently available.
The footage was taken during the 2022 OceanGate expedition to the site where the Titanic sank.
The footage shows the first of the Titanic’s two hulls, its huge anchor chain, the first of its six cargo holds and the ship’s sturdy bronze capstans. The video helped to better see some elements of the ship, such as the name of the anchor manufacturer Noah Hingley & Sons Ltd on the port side anchor.
