Direct International Trains Depart from Uzhhorod to Bratislava, Budapest, and Vienna

Ukraine has launched direct international train services from Uzhhorod to Bratislava, Budapest, and Vienna, with the first 280 passengers departing today, according to the Ministry of Community Development.

The services operate on standard European-gauge tracks between Chop and Uzhhorod, which have been under construction since May 2024.

Train schedules:

  • Train №961/618: Uzhhorod (08:09) → Bratislava (18:33) | Bratislava (11:27) → Uzhhorod (22:35)

  • Train №146: Uzhhorod (08:09) → Budapest (14:20) → Vienna (17:20) | Vienna (10:42) → Budapest (13:19) → Uzhhorod (22:35)

The new routes are expected to enhance connectivity for passengers traveling between Ukraine and Central Europe, providing faster and more convenient options for business and leisure travel.
