In the Microsoft Flight Simulator You Can Fly on AN-225 Mriya

Mriya takes to the skies! The legendary AN-225 Mriya spreads her wings. But for now, in all its digital glory. Today, February 27, Jörg Neumann, Head of Microsoft Flight Simulator, officially released the Antonov AN-225 Mriya for Microsoft Flight Simulator.

You can try flying on the wings of the Mriya right now ― the Antonov AN-225 is available for PC with all proceeds going toward the rebuilding effort of the Ukrainian aircraft.

The project was made possible thanks to the coordinated and intensive work with the Microsoft Flight Simulator team together with the project team of the ANTONOV Company, the active support of Mykhailo Fedorov (Михайло Федоров) and the Ministry of Digital Transformation, and, of course, the support and expertise of our pilots and engineers, who helped make the aircraft’s behavior more realistic. AN-225 crew captain, chief pilot Dmytro Antonov and pilots Kyrylo Volegov, Eygen Bashynskyi, navigator Serhiy Nechaev had the opportunity to test the realism of the digital Mriya flight.

Restoring the aviation legend was a complicated and lengthy process involving several skilled teams worldwide. Many hours of model development, sound recording, and detailed design were done to ensure everyone could feel the pilot’s role in the world’s largest aircraft as realistically as possible, hear the sound of her engines, and check the cockpit and cargo ramp.
