Ukrainian Train Hit in Dnipro During Russian Ballistic Strike

A Ukrainian train ballistic strike caused significant damage to train No. 52 traveling the Odesa–Zaporizhzhia route, Ukrzaliznytsia confirmed following a Russian ballistic missile attack near Dnipro. The incident took place during the missile strike, which targeted the area close to the Dnipro station.

Emergency services, including medics and rescue teams, swiftly arrived at the scene. Passengers on the train were quickly moved to nearby shelters for their safety. Ukrzaliznytsia is preparing replacement train cars to continue the journey, aiming to transfer the passengers and ensure their safe arrival in Zaporizhzhia.

According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (DSNS), the damage to the train was caused by the explosive shockwave from a missile impact close to the station. Windows in the train’s compartments shattered, and the train cars were strewn with broken glass fragments. The force of the blast affected multiple carriages, leaving visible destruction.
