Flydubai direct flights between Dubai and Chișinău will begin on September 17, 2025, opening up new travel options for passengers across the region. The new route marks a significant step in Flydubai’s expansion strategy in Eastern Europe and improves access between the United Arab Emirates and Moldova.
The airline will operate four direct flights per week, doubling the current number of connections between the two cities. Until now, only Moldovan airline FlyOne served the route with twice-weekly service. Flydubai’s arrival offers greater flexibility, increased seat availability, and potential for lower fares through competition.
Round-trip tickets for Flydubai’s Dubai–Chișinău route start at €380 for the basic fare, which does not include checked baggage. This move is expected to be especially helpful for Ukrainian travelers who use Chișinău International Airport as a transit hub for international journeys.
The launch is part of Flydubai’s wider effort to expand its presence in emerging travel markets. The airline continues to build routes beyond the traditional European and Asian hubs, giving travelers more direct access to secondary cities.
Flydubai’s route network is further enhanced by its codeshare partnership with Emirates. This partnership allows passengers flying into Dubai from Chișinău to connect easily to destinations across Asia, Africa, and Australia, using a single ticket and coordinated baggage transfer.
By linking Moldova’s capital with the global travel hub of Dubai, Flydubai is helping bridge a gap that was underserved in the region. The flight schedule is designed to optimize connections through Dubai while providing a smooth travel experience for both business and leisure passengers.
This expansion also supports Moldova’s growing tourism and trade sectors by connecting the country with one of the Middle East’s most dynamic economies. Dubai remains a major destination for commerce, shopping, and international events, drawing travelers from across Europe and beyond.
