Kyiv’s Premier Palace Casino Files for Bankruptcy

The Premier Palace Casino in Kyiv located on the first floor of the five-star Premier Palace Hotel, has filed for bankruptcy. The Kyiv Commercial Court initiated bankruptcy proceedings on May 15, as reported by Liga.net.

In April, the Prosecutor General’s Office filed a lawsuit demanding the company pay a debt of 158.9 million UAH. The Kyiv Commercial Court partially granted the request, seizing the funds of Premier Palace Casino LLC to cover this amount.

The court’s decision from April 8 noted that the casino’s net profit in 2022 was 60.5 million UAH, with nearly 9 million UAH in profit recorded for the first nine months of 2023.

The Prosecutor General’s Office also sought to seize 100% of the corporate rights of the casino, owned by Energy Supply LLC, and to prohibit their re-registration. However, the court denied this part of the request.

The casino is located in the center of Kyiv, on Taras Shevchenko Boulevard 5, occupying the first and basement floors of the Premier Palace Hotel.

In 2021, the Commission for the Regulation of Gambling and Lotteries issued the casino three licenses: for organizing and conducting gambling, gaming tables, and slot machines. These licenses were revoked in 2023.
