SkyUp Airlines is expanding its European presence with new direct summer flights from Romania to Greece and Cyprus, offering travelers more options for warm-weather escapes starting June 2025.
As part of its ongoing strategy to grow its footprint in the EU, the Ukrainian low-cost carrier will launch regular flights from Bucharest and Cluj-Napoca to two popular seaside destinations: Heraklion on the Greek island of Crete, and Larnaca, Cyprus.
From Bucharest (OTP), SkyUp will operate:
Heraklion (HER) – beginning June 16, with flights every Monday; fares start at €52 one way
Larnaca (LCA) – starting June 20, every Friday; fares from €53 one way
From Cluj-Napoca (CLJ):
Larnaca (LCA) – also from June 20, flying Fridays, with one-way fares from €57
Tickets for all routes are now available on the airline’s official website.
This latest expansion builds on SkyUp’s recent announcements of five new routes from Poland, reinforcing the airline’s commitment to broadening its network across Central and Eastern Europe. By tapping into Romanian airports and focusing on high-demand leisure markets, SkyUp aims to provide more affordable, direct travel options for passengers looking to explore Europe’s favorite summer destinations.
SkyUp’s network expansion comes at a time of high demand for regional connectivity and accessible holiday routes, especially to Mediterranean hotspots. With competitive pricing and convenient flight schedules, the airline continues to position itself as a key player in Europe’s budget travel segment.
